How Username Generator works

An adjective (125 options) and a noun (122 options) are picked uniformly with crypto.getRandomValues, joined in the chosen style and followed by the requested random digits. With a maximum length, names that are too long are discarded and redrawn. With 2 digits there are 125 × 122 × 100 = 1,525,000 possible names. The tool cannot check whether a name is already taken on a site.

Common Use Cases

  • Creating an anonymous forum or social media account
  • Picking a gamer tag
  • Generating test user names for QA environments
  • Privacy-friendly names for online marketplaces
