Terms of Service
Last updated:
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AlgoKit.dev and its tools. The short version: the tools are free, they are provided as they are, and they must not be used to harm others.
AlgoKit.dev is operated by AlgoKit (Vietnam) ("we", "us").
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By using AlgoKit.dev you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for it.
2. The service
AlgoKit.dev offers free online tools for hashing, encoding, encryption, formatting, data conversion, text and image processing, CSS design, calculations, time and date, and web development. No account is required. Most tools run in your browser; a few network tools contact external services or our own endpoint, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the tools for personal, educational and commercial work. You must not:
- use the site or its output to break the law or to infringe the rights of others;
- use the network tools (DNS, WHOIS, IP, certificate, port, header, redirect or other URL checks) to scan, probe or attack systems you do not own or are not authorised to test;
- send automated or bulk requests to our
/api/endpoint, use it as a general-purpose proxy, or try to reach private or internal network addresses through it; - try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
- use generated test data (such as card numbers or IBANs) for fraud, to deceive anyone or to attempt real payments;
- scrape or republish the site’s content at scale, or present it as your own.
We may block requests or access that we reasonably believe break these rules.
4. Network tools and third-party services
Results from network tools reflect what the external service or the checked server returned at that moment; they may be incomplete, cached or wrong. Third-party services such as Cloudflare, rdap.org, ipwho.is, crt.sh, Cert Spotter, Have I Been Pwned and frankfurter.dev are governed by their own terms, and their availability is outside our control.
5. Test data generators and validators
The credit card, IBAN, fake-data and similar generators produce numbers and records that only pass format checks (for example the Luhn algorithm or the ISO 13616 IBAN checksum). They are not linked to any real account, have no monetary value and may only be used for software testing, demos and education. Validators check structure only: a “valid” result does not mean that an account exists or is in good standing.
6. No warranty
The site and all tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We test the tools carefully, but we do not guarantee that:
- results of calculators (finance, tax, health, units, dates or others) are correct or suitable for your situation – they are estimates, not professional financial, tax, legal or medical advice;
- hashes, encryption, key generation, password-strength scores or JWT checks meet the security requirements of your system – review them, and use well-maintained libraries in production;
- the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
Always verify important results independently before relying on them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intentional misconduct.
8. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text and code are protected by copyright. You may link to any page and share screenshots. The output you create with the tools (hashes, converted data, generated files and so on) is yours; we claim no rights over it. The tools rely on open-source libraries that are used under their own licences. Trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners.
9. Advertising and external links
The site may show third-party advertising (see the Privacy Policy) and links to external websites and documentation. We do not control, and are not responsible for, advertisers, the products they offer or the content of external sites.
10. Availability and suspension
We may suspend, limit or discontinue the site or any tool, or restrict access for users who violate these Terms, at any time and without notice.
11. General terms
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence continue to apply. Disputes are handled by the competent courts under the applicable law; before that, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version; continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Contact
