Image Watermark (Text or Logo)
Add a text or logo watermark to photos in your browser. Set position, opacity, size and rotation, or tile it across the whole image, then download.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your data is never uploaded.
What is Image Watermark?
This tool stamps a watermark on your image: either text (with font size, color, bold, opacity and rotation) or an image/logo (with size and opacity). Place it in one of nine positions with a margin, or tile it in staggered rows across the whole picture to make cropping it out harder.
How to use Image Watermark
- Drop, choose or paste the photo you want to protect.
- Choose Text watermark and type your text, or Image / logo watermark and drop your logo (transparent PNG works best).
- Set the size, Opacity, Rotation, Margin and Position, or pick Tiled over the whole image.
- Check the preview and download the watermarked image.
Example
300×200 PNG, text “Sample”, position Tiled
300×200 PNG with semi-transparent “Sample” text repeated across the image, saved as `<name>-watermarked.png`
When to use Image Watermark
Use it to brand photos before posting them online, mark drafts and proofs, or discourage unauthorized reuse. A visible watermark deters casual copying but can still be removed by a determined editor, especially if it sits in a corner; tiling and higher opacity make removal harder.
How Image Watermark works
The photo is drawn on a canvas and the watermark is painted over it with globalAlpha set to the chosen opacity. Text size and logo width are relative to the image width, so the watermark looks the same on small and large images. In tiled mode the mark is repeated in staggered rows across the canvas; each instance is rotated around its own center.
Common Use Cases
- Adding a © copyright line to photography portfolio images.
- Stamping a company logo on product photos.
- Marking client proofs with a tiled “DRAFT” text.
- Labelling screenshots with a website URL.
Security Note
Images are decoded, processed and encoded locally in your browser with the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
FAQs
Which font is used?
Your system’s default sans-serif UI font (for example Segoe UI, Roboto or San Francisco), so non-Latin scripts render correctly.
Does the watermark reduce image quality?
Only the covered pixels change. Saving as PNG keeps everything else lossless; JPEG and WebP re-compress the whole image at the chosen quality.
Can I watermark many photos at once?
Not yet. The tool processes one image at a time.
