Zalgo Text Generator

Create creepy Zalgo glitch text with marks above, through and below letters at intensity 1–10, or clean Zalgo text back to normal. Copy and paste anywhere.

Zalgo text stacks random Unicode combining marks (U+0300–U+036F) on each character. Clean mode removes those marks; precomposed letters like é or ệ are kept.

What is Zalgo Text Generator?

Turns normal text into "Zalgo" glitch text by stacking random Unicode combining marks above, through and below each character. The intensity slider controls how wild it looks, and a clean mode removes Zalgo marks from text you received.

How to use Zalgo Text Generator

  1. Type your text into the Input box.
  2. Set Intensity (1–10) and choose which marks to add: above, through the middle, below.
  3. Press Regenerate for a new random variation, then copy the output.
  4. To clean glitch text, switch Mode to Remove glitch marks (clean) and paste it in.

Example

Input
H̖̍i̳͒ Việt
Output

Mode: Remove glitch marks (clean) – precomposed Vietnamese letters are kept

When to use Zalgo Text Generator

Use it for memes, gaming names, Halloween posts or creative designs. Zalgo text is hard to read, cannot be understood by screen readers and may be trimmed or blocked by some apps and username fields – avoid it for important information.

How Zalgo Text Generator works

For every non-space grapheme the tool appends between 1 and the intensity value of random combining characters from three pools: marks that render above (e.g. U+030D, U+0346), through (e.g. U+0334–U+0338, only a few to keep it legible) and below (e.g. U+0316–U+0333). Because these are combining characters, they attach to the previous letter and stack visually. Clean mode deletes all characters in the combining diacritical blocks (U+0300–U+036F, U+1AB0–U+1AFF, U+1DC0–U+1DFF, U+20D0–U+20FF, U+FE20–U+FE2F and U+0489).

Common Use Cases

  • Creepy captions for Halloween or horror posts
  • Glitch-style gamer tags and display names
  • Visual effects in memes and art projects
  • Cleaning up Zalgo text someone sent you

FAQs

Why does Zalgo text overflow into other lines?

Each letter carries many stacked marks that render above and below the line. The more intensity, the taller the stack.

Will the clean mode remove accents?

Precomposed letters such as é or ệ are single characters and are kept. Accents typed as separate combining marks are removed together with the glitch marks.

Does it work everywhere?

It is plain Unicode, so it pastes into most apps, but some platforms limit combining marks or username characters.
