Small Caps Generator

Convert lowercase letters to Unicode small capitals (ᴀʙᴄ) while keeping capitals full size. Copy and paste small caps text into bios and posts.

Lowercase letters become small capitals (ᴀʙᴄ); capitals stay full size. There is no small-capital x in Unicode, so x stays x.

What is Small Caps Generator?

Replaces lowercase letters with Unicode small capital letters, giving the look of the typographic small caps style – Hᴇʟʟᴏ Wᴏʀʟᴅ – in places where you cannot change the font.

How to use Small Caps Generator

  1. Type your text into the Input box.
  2. Copy the small-caps output.
  3. Write capitals where you want full-size letters; they stay as they are.

Example

Input
Hello x
Output
Hᴇʟʟᴏ x

x has no small-capital form

When to use Small Caps Generator

Use it for stylish names, headings and bios. Small capitals come from several Unicode blocks, so a few letters may look slightly different in some fonts; screen readers do not read them as normal words.

How Small Caps Generator works

Each lowercase a–z is mapped to the matching small capital, mostly from the IPA and Phonetic Extensions blocks (ᴀ ʙ ᴄ ᴅ ᴇ ꜰ ɢ ʜ ɪ ᴊ ᴋ ʟ ᴍ ɴ ᴏ ᴘ ꞯ ʀ ꜱ ᴛ ᴜ ᴠ ᴡ ʏ ᴢ). Unicode has no small capital X, so x stays x and is counted as unmapped. Capitals and digits are kept, and other characters pass through unchanged.

Common Use Cases

  • Elegant usernames and display names
  • Stylised headings in social posts
  • Subtle emphasis in bios
  • Decorative text in gaming profiles

FAQs

Why does x stay lowercase?

Unicode does not contain a small capital X.

Are capital letters changed?

No. In small-caps typography capitals stay full height, so typing "Hello" gives Hᴇʟʟᴏ.

Is this the same as CSS font-variant: small-caps?

It looks similar, but CSS changes only the display, while these are different characters that keep the look when copied.
