Bulk Slug Generator
Convert a list of titles into clean URL slugs at once. Removes accents, transliterates Cyrillic, numbers duplicates and exports TXT or a title, slug CSV file.
Each non-empty line becomes one slug.
0 = no limit. Long slugs are cut at a word boundary.

What is Bulk Slug Generator?
Paste many titles, one per line, and get a URL-friendly slug for each — ideal for migrating blog posts, product catalogs or CMS pages. Accents are removed (Tiếng Việt → tieng-viet), Cyrillic and Greek are transliterated, duplicates can be numbered automatically and the result can be exported as plain text or a title, slug CSV.
How to use Bulk Slug Generator
- Paste your Titles (one per line).
- Choose the Separator and an optional Maximum length.
- Set Lowercase, ASCII only, Make duplicates unique and Output as CSV as needed.
- Copy or download the result.
Example
Hello World! Hello World Tiếng Việt có dấu Привет мир
hello-world hello-world-2 tieng-viet-co-dau privet-mir
When to use Bulk Slug Generator
Use it when you need slugs for many items at once, for example during an import or migration. For a single slug while writing, the regular slug generator is quicker. If your site uses non-Latin URLs (Chinese, Arabic…), leave ASCII only off to keep those characters; with it on they are removed.
How Bulk Slug Generator works
Each line is normalized to Unicode NFC, special letters are mapped (đ→d, ß→ss, æ→ae, ø→o, ł→l, & → and), Cyrillic and Greek letters are transliterated, and remaining accents are stripped by decomposing to NFD and removing combining marks. The text is then split into runs of letters and digits (ASCII only, or any Unicode letter if ASCII only is off) and joined with the separator. A maximum length cuts at the last separator so words are not chopped. With unique mode, the second occurrence of a slug gets -2, the third -3, and so on.
Common Use Cases
- Creating slugs for hundreds of products before a store import
- Migrating blog posts to a new CMS with clean URLs
- Generating unique file or anchor names from headings
- Building a title-to-slug mapping CSV for redirects
FAQs
Hyphens or underscores?
Google recommends hyphens to separate words in URLs; underscores join words together for search engines.
What happens to Chinese or Arabic titles?
With ASCII only off they are kept as Unicode letters, which browsers display correctly and encode as UTF-8 in requests. With ASCII only on they are removed, which can leave an empty slug.
How long should a slug be?
Short and descriptive: usually 3–6 words or under about 60 characters. Use Maximum length to enforce a limit.
