When to use Morse Code Encoder
Good for learning Morse, puzzles, ham-radio practice or fun messages. It produces text only – it does not generate audio.
How Morse Code Encoder works
Each character is upper-cased and looked up in the ITU table (A–Z, 0–9, . , ? ' ! / ( ) & : ; = + - _ " $ @ and É). Accented letters without their own code are reduced to the base letter (ệ → E, đ → D). Characters with no Morse equivalent, such as # or emoji, are skipped and reported.
Common Use Cases
- Practising Morse code for amateur radio
- Creating puzzle or escape-room clues
- Teaching how telegraph codes work
- Writing an SOS or short message in Morse
